What is Skincoach?
Skincoach uses a unique platform to help you find your best routine by using selfies and our proprietary products to minimize irritation and maximize treatment. When you subscribe to our service, you will receive a kit of products along with a personalized routine. Your weekly selfie check-ins will be enough to know if the routine is the right one for you. Throughout your subscription, we will customize routines and we may also change some of your products, so your chances of being clear are maximized.
Your acne is yours. Your routine is yours. You deserve a treatment plan and products as unique as your skin because there’s no one-size-fits-all treatment. Science has demonstrated that acne doesn’t improve overnight, over a week, or even over a month. It takes time. Acne treatments are known to cause irritation in the form of dryness, flaking, and redness. While this may be a good sign that the medicine is working, it can be uncomfortable and unsightly. With Skincoach, your irritation is minimized, so you can be well on your journey to clear skin.
How do Skincoach products work?
You know the acne basics. Your pores get clogged and can start as blackheads. Bacteria grows inside and a pimple appears. Then, inflammation sets in and it can even turn into a cyst.
Our products act in 3 ways:
Our cleansers facilitate cleaning up skin debris and unclog those pores. Stronger or more frequent cleansing does not necessarily mean better results. It can cause irritation which can lead to inflammation, which is why we ask you to check in and see how it’s working for you. Make sure to follow your routine.
Our treatment comes in different strengths to maximally control the bacteria contributing to acne without irritating your skin. A common mistake is to go for fast pimple removers. These can be too strong and just lead to more irritation!
If you haven’t realized by now, treating acne takes time. Patience and consistency are key to successful treatment. And balancing the right combination of treatment for your skin is the way to get there. Our moisturizer is a key component in treating your acne and is specially formulated to be non-comedogenic so it can soothe your skin without clogging pores.

You will continue to receive product kits according to the needs of your routine and our AI analysis. You can cancel your plan at any time during the trial period. If you cancel your subscription during the trial period, we will not charge you and you will not receive products for subsequent months, nor have your skin analyzed by the app.
What are the Skincoach basics?
Our program includes three factors:
Our proprietary AI technology to help us define the best routine for your skin. We analyze your acne with 9 questions and a selfie. Then, we recommend the right set of products and routine.
High quality products to treat your acne, delivered right to your door. You have an option to pick from the 3-month, 6-month or 9-month programs available. Keep in mind that with any acne treatment, it may take as much as 3 months to really know things are working for you. Remember: there are no overnight fixes with acne.
Personalized weekly check-ins to review how your routine is working. Based on your advance, we’ll adjust your treatment. Why? The weekly check-ins will allow us to see if you are irritated or not making progress. We will then make changes and walk you through them. We want to keep you focused on your routine, so all product changes and routines are included in your subscription. That way you can focus all your energy in keeping up with your routine and your check-ins.
Do you personalize my treatment routine?
Yep! Our program is based on the analysis of your skin for which we’ll ask you to take a front-facing selfie and two profile pictures.
These photos will be processed by our AI systems to identify the best routine for you. Only you will be able to see them, unless you decide to share them. In order to get the best results and analysis of your skin, we need to get photos that are well-detailed. In order to do so, we recommend you to find a place that’s well lit. If you wear make up, it is important that your remove it before you take your pictures. Also, remove glasses and make sure your hair will not cover parts of your face. This will help us determine the routine that’s most appropriate for you.
How important is the Skincoach QR code?
Super important! Being able to notice irritation is a big thing for us. To do this, we analyze the real color of your skin in your check-in selfies using the Skincoach QR computer vision technology. Find the Skincoach QR on the back of your cleanser and make sure to include it in the pictures you take during your weekly check-ins. This helps us understand if there’s any skin irritation and how much it’s changing.
How long should I follow my routine?
We recommend you follow our routines for at least three (3) months, since this is the average time in which your skin gets under control. We’ll keep adjusting the routine until we see your skin getting clear. When we reach this point, your acne will stay at bay for some time but it is likely to return. Luckily, if you’ve reached this stage, it means your routine is optimized so you can take a vacation from your treatment until you notice your skin needs to be treated again. We’ll be here when you need us.
Why can’t I just buy your products?
There are no overnight acne fixes. Treating acne takes time, patience, and consistency. It’s more about setting the right routine to prevent breakouts than treating what’s already there. Skincoach products are formulated to to help prevent breakouts through a personalized approach based on your skin. But just giving you products is not enough. Our weekly app check-ins also guide you on how to adjust your routine based on your progress. In short, we don’t just provide the products. We also teach you how to use them and guide you throughout the process. We are your skin coach!
When will I be billed by Skincoach?
Skincoach subscriptions are billed monthly, in the same day you subscribed the first time (e.g. if you subscribed on September 1st, you next charge will happen in October 1st). If you signed up for a trial, Skincoach will start charging you monthly after the trial period is over. Once the payment is successfully completed, we’ll prepare your kit and send it over. In the event your payment does not go through, we will suspend your subscription until you update your payment details. Skincoach accepts credit and debit cards.
